Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements. This role requires attention to detail and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise junior auditors and provide them with guidance.
• Conduct risk assessments and evaluate internal controls.
• Document audit processes and communicate findings.
• Facilitate client meetings to discuss audit results.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and standards.
• Maintain audit working papers and files in accordance with regulations.
• Evaluate financial systems and make recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure adherence to audit schedules.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in auditing or financial analysis
