Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We seek an Environmental Engineer to help us drive our mission towards sustainability in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will assess environmental impacts, develop mitigation strategies, and work on projects that improve the natural environment. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, a commitment to ethical engineering practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental audits and inspections.
• Research and recommend new technologies that support sustainability.
• Work with project managers to integrate environmental aspects into project plans.
• Develop environmental training for employees and contractors.
• Prepare environmental monitoring programs and reports.
• Foster relationships with local government and environmental agencies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree is ideal

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering

• Site Assessment

Certifications

• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
