We are searching for a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter based in Cape Town, who will assess, evaluate, and determine the risk involved in providing insurance coverage to clients. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our underwriting processes are efficient and align with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data related to claims, market trends, and other factors influencing underwriting.
• Develop strategies to improve underwriting efficiency and reduce costs.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling insurance services to clients.
• Prepare reports detailing underwriting activities and risk exposures for management review.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting

Certifications

• Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management (FIRM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
