Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Specialist in Port Elizabeth who is dedicated to safeguarding our digital assets. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills and be well-versed in implementing security protocols. You will work closely with our IT team to monitor and protect information systems from breaches and attacks.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and improve upon existing cybersecurity policies.
• Implement effective intrusion detection systems and firewalls.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in the system.
• Report to management on security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Work with software development teams to ensure security in the software life cycle.
• Perform forensic analysis in the event of a security breach.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security
