We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding systems and networks, implementing security protocols, and responding to incidents promptly.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations on security breaches and incidents.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and backup plans.
• Coordinate with external vendors for security solutions.
• Ensure the integrity of hardware and software security measures.
• Prepare detailed documentation for audits and assessments.
• Participate in security awareness programmes for employees.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of comprehensive experience in cybersecurity

Technical Skills

• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
• Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving
• Leadership

Certifications

• GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with ISO 27001 Standards: Knowledge of information security management standards.
• Scripting Skills: Basic knowledge of Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
