Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our Port Elizabeth office. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of financial principles, and experience with tax regulations, budgeting, and reporting. This role involves working collaboratively with our finance team to ensure accurate records and compliance with all standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
• Conduct reconciliations of bank statements.
• Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tax authority inquiries.
• Evaluate financial processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with HR on payroll and employee benefits.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare audit documentation and schedules.
• Monitor cash flow and provide insights for financial planning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
• Master's degree in Accounting is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management
