We're on the lookout for an IT Support Technician to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be crucial in resolving technical issues, supporting our staff, and ensuring all IT systems run smoothly. With an emphasis on customer service, this role is ideal for someone with a passion for technology and a knack for problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues for employees and systems.
  • Install, configure, and manage hardware and software solutions.
  • Document technical processes and solutions for future reference.
  • Identify and report areas for improvement within the IT infrastructure.
  • Train staff on IT best practices and company technologies.
  • Maintain user accounts and oversee access control.
  • Work alongside vendors for hardware and software procurement.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance skill sets and knowledge.
  • Ensure effective communication with users regarding IT issues and updates.
  • Perform backup and recovery operations as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Information Technology or related field
Experience
  • 3 years experience in IT support
