Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing civil engineering projects. You will work on diverse projects, from residential developments to commercial builds, ensuring compliance with legal standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead civil engineering design projects from conception to completion.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
  • Coordinate with municipal authorities for project approvals.
  • Utilize CAD software to create precise engineering drawings.
  • Assess project timelines and ensure on-time completion.
  • Develop cost estimates and track expenses throughout project lifecycle.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Participate in community engagement activities related to projects.
  • Document project progress and changes thoroughly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in civil or structural engineering
