Material Planner

Job Description

As a Material Planner, you will play a critical role in managing the supply chain by ensuring materials are available on time, in the right quantities, and at optimal costs. This position requires strong analytical abilities and a keen eye for details to forecast demand and maintain inventory levels.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute effective material planning strategies.
• Conduct demand analyses to optimize inventory levels.
• Interface with suppliers to track and improve delivery timelines.
• Conduct audits of inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Work collaboratively across departments to fulfill supply chain objectives.
• Assess and refine material planning systems for better efficiency.
• Participate in cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality.
• Facilitate training sessions to boost team knowledge on supply chain best practices.
• Manage and update the material planning database regularly.
• Report on material availability and supplier compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in material planning or supply chain management

Technical Skills

• SAP
• Inventory Management Systems

Certifications

• APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
