We are in search of a skilled Environmental Engineer to join our passionate team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental assessments, regulatory compliance, and sustainable practices. You will be responsible for conducting site inspections, managing projects aimed at improving environmental outcomes, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental laws.

Responsibilities

• Monitor environmental performance and suggest corrective actions.
• Review and approve environmental compliance documentation.
• Work alongside regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
• Foster partnerships with environmental organizations and agencies.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and timelines.
• Conduct risk assessments related to environmental hazards.
• Compile and analyze environmental monitoring data for reporting.
• Support the organization in achieving sustainability certifications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Management is a plus

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in environmental project management
