We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities and supplier relationships in Pretoria. This role involves analysing procurement needs, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely deliveries to maintain the efficiency of our operations. Responsibilities

  • Lead the procurement function to optimize processes and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather purchasing requirements.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and procurement opportunities.
  • Develop contracts that maximize value and minimize risk.
  • Track and analyze procurement metrics to inform strategy.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships for continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate training sessions on procurement policies for staff.
  • Implement technology solutions to streamline procurement processes.
  • Provide support in resolving procurement-related issues.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Logistics, or a relevant field
  • Additional procurement certifications preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or related roles
