Your primary duties will involve maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial statements. The ideal candidate will possess strong numerical skills and have experience with accounting software. Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and ensure accuracy of entries.
• Prepare VAT returns and other tax-related documents.
• Assist with financial audits and liaise with auditors.
• Provide support for month-end closing processes.
• Help train junior staff in accounting tasks.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
• Participate in the development of financial systems improvements.
• Review internal accounting procedures for efficiency.
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting.

Requirements

Education

• BCom in Accounting or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in bookkeeping with demonstrated experience in many aspects of financial management.

Technical Skills

• QuickBooks
• Tax Preparation

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certifications in Accounting: Additional certifications such as AAT or CIMA are an advantage.
• Familiarity with Financial Software: Ability to work with various accounting software like Pastel or SAP.
