Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Loan Officer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to review and analyze loan applications, ensuring that they meet underwriting standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of loan applications and supporting documentation.
  • Utilise financial analysis tools to assess the risk levels of applicants.
  • Collaborate with the loan processing team to expedite application reviews.
  • Provide guidance and support to applicants throughout the loan process.
  • Develop performance reports on loan applications and outcomes for analysis.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and maintained in line with compliance standards.
  • Communicate policy changes to clients and internal teams effectively.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance understanding of lending practices.
  • Engage in proactive communication with applicants to clarify any discrepancies.
  • Monitor regulatory changes impacting lending practices and adjust procedures accordingly.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g. Certified Public Accountant) is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in banking or financial services
