Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Cape Town team. You will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and producing accurate financial reports. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in accounting principles and thorough knowledge of financial software.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial data for reporting purposes.
• Manage fixed assets and associated depreciation schedules.
• Monitor and report on internal controls.
• Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts.
• Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals.
• Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.
• Ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
• Investigate discrepancies and variances in accounts.
• Advise on cost control and reduction strategies.
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Postgraduate qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 4-6 years in accounting or a similar role
