Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and solutions that meet industry standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and improve electrical systems for new projects.
• Review and analyze project specifications for accuracy.
• Participate in client meetings to understand project requirements.
• Ensure quality control in all stages of project development.
• Lead the implementation of energy-efficient practices.
• Conduct training sessions for junior engineers and technicians.
• Work with regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits.
• Analyze and resolve electrical malfunctions and deficiencies.
• Document all project phases and communicate status updates.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional certification is advantageous

Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience

• Electrical Code Compliance
• Simulation Software

Certifications

• Registered Technician (Pr Tech)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Experience with power distribution systems: Understanding of designing and implementing power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems: Knowledge of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems.
