Responsibilities

• Lead the safety department in compliance and training.
• Conduct ongoing safety assessments and site inspections.
• Create and distribute safety training materials.
• Monitor and report on safety incidents and trends.
• Advise on necessary protective equipment and safety gear.
• Engage with local authorities regarding safety regulations.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
• Promote continuous improvement in safety practices.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
• Postgraduate qualification in safety management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the mining industry

Technical Skills

• Incident Investigation

Certifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
