Job Description

We are seeking an Insurance Underwriter to join our Johannesburg office. The successful candidate will evaluate and analyze risk for a variety of insurance products. You will work closely with sales teams and clients to ensure that all underwriting guidelines are met.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with actuarial teams to analyze data trends.
• Participate in continuous professional development to stay informed about industry best practices.
• Assist in training junior underwriters and staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field
• Advanced certification in underwriting is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance sector, focusing on underwriting

• Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)
