Accountant

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Accountant in Cape Town to manage financial transactions and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Prepare tax returns and liaise with tax authorities.
• Monitor cash flows and perform cash management duties.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports detailing company finances and expenditures.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and manage workloads.
• Evaluate and improve financial processes for efficiency.
• Prepare audit schedules and documents for external review.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Provide support during financial audits.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Chartered Accountant (CA) certification preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a similar industry
