Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, providing assurance on risk management and governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize audit engagements from start to finish.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Identify areas for operational improvements and efficiency gains.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff on audit practices.
• Support annual financial audit procedures.
• Communicate findings and recommendations through concise reports.
• Contribute to the development of the audit plan based on organizational goals.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• CIMA or equivalent qualification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in auditing or financial compliance roles

Certifications

• CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with auditing software (e.g., ACL, IDEA): Proficient in using auditing tools and software for data analysis.
