Job Description

The Electrical Design Engineer will play a crucial role in our engineering projects in Durban. You will be responsible for creating innovative electrical design solutions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Ideal candidates will have a mix of technical expertise and strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative electrical design solutions for various projects.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.
• Interact effectively with project managers and other stakeholders.
• Draft and maintain project documentation and design records.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates to electrical design standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns in best practices and processes.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss progress and overcome challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Postgraduate qualifications are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in electrical design engineering

• MathCAD
• HVAC Systems

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PrEng)
• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
