Interior Designer

Job Description

As an Interior Designer in Cape Town, you will be responsible for creating stunning spaces that enhance the functionality and aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties. You will collaborate with clients to understand their vision, develop design concepts, select materials, and oversee the implementation of projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design residential and commercial interiors.
• Conduct client interviews to gather design specifications.
• Prepare sketches and specifications for construction.
• Work closely with craftsmen and contractors to ensure design intent is achieved.
• Develop lighting and color schemes tailored to each project.
• Review and approve samples and prototypes.
• Manage site logistics and installation processes.
• Educate clients on design trends and options.
• Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster a collaborative environment within the design team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification in Design is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in high-end residential design

Technical Skills

• Adobe Creative Suite
• Building Regulations Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Detail-Oriented

Certifications

• LEED Certification
• Certified Interior Decorator

Languages

• English: Fluent
