Urban Planner

Job Description

We are on the hunt for an Urban Planner with a passion for developing sustainable urban environments in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will engage in various projects, from residential developments to public space planning, ensuring that our cities are designed with community needs in mind.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to foster community engagement in urban planning.
• Conduct site visits and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
• Prepare visual presentations and maps to communicate planning concepts.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure projects.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies, Architecture, or a related field
• Master's degree in Urban Planning or equivalent is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in urban planning, design, or policy
