Job Description

Join us as a Grant Writer in Durban, where you'll play a critical role in securing financial support for our non-profit initiatives. The successful applicant will be skilled in writing compelling proposals and communicating effectively with funders to help us meet our mission of community empowerment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and apply for grants that align with organizational goals.
  • Write concise and compelling grant narrative and budget sections.
  • Monitor program outcomes and prepare necessary grant reports.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders in proposal development.
  • Analyze feedback from funders to improve writing strategies.
  • Build relationships with community partners to enhance proposal strength.
  • Assist in developing strategic plans for fundraising.
  • Contribute to the organization's annual funding strategy.
  • Support other fundraising activities as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of all grant-related communications and submissions.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Non-profit Management or similar field is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in grant writing and fundraising
