Join us as a Grant Writer in Durban, where you'll play a critical role in securing financial support for our non-profit initiatives. The successful applicant will be skilled in writing compelling proposals and communicating effectively with funders to help us meet our mission of community empowerment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on grant-seeking best practices and current trends.
  • Prepare engaging and clear content for grant applications.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to produce accurate budgets.
  • Develop and maintain detailed grant proposal templates.
  • Provide feedback on drafts for organizational proposals.
  • Support the organization in meeting strategic funding goals.
  • Assist program teams in identifying project impacts and outcomes.
  • Conduct follow-up communications with grant funders.
  • Organize and participate in workshops for skills development in grant writing.
  • Evaluate the success of grant proposals and adjust strategies accordingly.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Non-profit Management or similar field is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in grant writing and fundraising
