Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be skilled in designing and overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. You will work collaboratively with architects and other engineers to bring innovative designs to life.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise construction activities on site.
• Review and approve engineering designs and documents.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope.
• Oversee project health and safety compliance and risk management.
• Prepare and submit regular project status reports.
• Advise on project contracts, claims, and disputes as necessary.
• Assist with the preparation of environmental impact assessments.
• Participate in professional development and training activities.
• Support the ongoing development of the engineering team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the civil engineering sector

Certifications
