As a Tax Consultant in Durban, you'll play a crucial role in providing expert guidance on tax planning and compliance. Your responsibilities will include preparing tax returns, advising clients on tax strategies, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for helping clients maximize their tax efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and their tax requirements.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies during tax audits.
• Provide exceptional customer service to resolve client inquiries.
• Prepare reports on tax strategies and compliance.
• Identify potential tax risks and advise clients accordingly.
• Support clients through all phases of tax compliance.
• Conduct interviews to gather necessary tax-related information.
• Create and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Honours or Master's degree in Taxation is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant taxation experience

Technical Skills

• Understanding of Financial Statements
• Proficient in Tax Software Applications

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Client Relations

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner
• SAIPA or equivalent qualification

Languages

• English: Fluent
