Barrel Dedenting Machine Operator

Job Description

The Barrel Dedenting Machine Operator will operate machinery to remove dents from metal barrels used in the beverage industry. The role requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality in restoring the integrity of our products.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the barrel dedenting machine to restore barrel integrity.
• Conduct quality checks pre- and post-dedenting to ensure the highest standards.
• Document production data and machine performance as needed.
• Assist in machine setup and calibration for specific barrel sizes.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and follow all health and safety guidelines.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the production process.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet production deadlines.
• Report any technical malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Technical diploma or apprenticeship in manufacturing preferred

Experience

• Previous experience operating machinery is a plus.
