Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee and enhance our logistics processes in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the entire supply chain to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining communication between suppliers, vendors, and our internal teams, streamlining processes to improve overall efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of logistics policies and procedures.
• Monitor performance benchmarks for logistics processes.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff for optimal inventory management.
• Evaluate and select logistics service providers.
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for logistics services.
• Implement sustainability practices in logistics operations.
• Conduct market research to identify potential logistics improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role

Technical Skills

• ERP Systems
• Microsoft Excel

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certifications in Supply Chain Management: Professional certifications such as APICS or similar are a plus.
• Experience in Project Management: Ability to manage projects related to logistics and supply chain.
