Job Description

We're on the lookout for a qualified and compassionate Medical Doctor to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate should be dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services and must possess a strong understanding of medical protocols and patient care. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat patients, ensuring their health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency medical procedures.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
• Document findings and treatment plans in patient files.
• Collaborate with nursing and allied health professionals.
• Conduct research and remain updated on medical trends.
• Promote a positive work environment and teamwork.
• Participate in hospital committees and improvement initiatives.
• Advocate for patient health and wellbeing within the community.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Specialization in a relevant field is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a clinical setting

Certifications

• Registered with HPCSA
• PALS Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

• Experience in chronic disease management: Experience managing chronic conditions and acute episodes.
