Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and intervention to individuals and families in need, ensuring access to community resources and advocating for their rights. This role requires a compassionate individual who can work effectively in challenging situations and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate client progress and adapt intervention plans as necessary.
  • Work closely with families to implement effective support strategies.
  • Lead workshops and support groups to empower clients and promote community involvement.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emotional support in challenging situations.
  • Stay informed of best practices and new developments within the social work field.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Master's degree is highly preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in social services or community outreach
