Job Description

The Fur Dresser will be responsible for selecting, cutting, shaping, and sewing fur to create high-quality garments, accessories, and home decor items. The role requires attention to detail, creativity, and skillful use of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and measuring furs to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Cleaning and conditioning furs to maintain their luster and softness.
• Trimming and shaping furs to fit specific design requirements.
• Sewing and attaching fur pieces to create finished products.
• Assisting with fittings and client consultations.
• Following safety protocols and keeping work areas clean.
• Documenting production processes for quality checks.
• Conducting quality control assessments on finished items.
• Training junior staff on fur dressing techniques.
• Staying updated on industry trends in fashion and textiles.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in fur dressing or a closely-related field.
