Job Description

Join our cybersecurity team as a Cybersecurity Analyst in Cape Town. You will be responsible for monitoring network security, analyzing potential threats, and helping to maintain compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
• Analyze security breaches to identify root causes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to enhance system security measures.
• Educate employees about cybersecurity best practices and promote awareness.
• Prepare reports on security incidents and present findings to management.
• Configure and maintain security tools like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
• Participate in security audits and assist in compliance efforts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ etc.) preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
