Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Civil Inspector in Pretoria to oversee construction quality and compliance with industry standards. You will serve as the key point of contact for all project inspections, ensuring that processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety and building regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers to mitigate potential issues and ensure project milestones are met.
• Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
• Verify materials used in construction meet specified standards.
• Monitor construction progress to ensure timelines and budgets are adhered to.
• Resolve discrepancies between project specifications and actual work performed.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, and approvals.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure all parties are informed of site activities.
• Provide guidance on best practices for safety and quality assurance.
• Conduct final inspections before project completions.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in construction inspection or related field

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
• Inspection and assessment skills

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Effective communication

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent
