We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you will evaluate insurance applications, assess risk, and determine coverage amounts. Your expertise will help us ensure the right coverage for our clients while maintaining the company's profitability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance applications and evaluate risk exposure.
• Communicate effectively with clients and insurance agents.
• Ensure accurate pricing of insurance products.
• Review claims and provide input on underwriting decisions.
• Utilize underwriting software to assess applications quickly.
• Participate in continuous education and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics
• Advanced underwriting certifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience in the insurance industry

Certifications

• Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP)
• Associate in Underwriting (AU)

Languages
