Job Description

As an Intake Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for new clients in our healthcare facility. Your role is vital in ensuring a smooth intake process, from gathering essential information to coordinating appointments and assessing eligibility for services. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are pivotal for success.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the intake process for new patients.
• Collect patient information and verify insurance coverage.
• Communicate admission procedures and requirements to clients and families.
• Document and maintain up-to-date records for incoming patients.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives to enhance the intake experience.
• Work collaboratively with the administrative and clinical teams.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, social work or related field is preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience with intake processes and client data management

Technical Skills

• Appointment scheduling software
• CRM Systems

Soft Skills

• Customer service orientation
• Emotional intelligence and empathy

Certifications

• Bilingual in English and another language is advantageous

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
