Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of care and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and intravenous (IV) therapy as prescribed.
• Conduct patient evaluations and provide appropriate interventions.
• Guide and mentor junior nursing staff and learners.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department.
• Address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns effectively.
• Engage with healthcare teams to discuss patient progress and collaborate on treatment plans.
• Ensure a clean and safe patient environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical nursing standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• SANC registration is mandatory

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a nursing role, ideally in a hospital environment.

• Nursing Care Plan Development
• Infection Control Procedures

• Crisis Management
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a managerial role: Experience in coordinating nursing teams and overseeing patient care.
• Certification in Nursing Informatics: Knowledge of nursing informatics systems can be beneficial.
