Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter, you will work closely with clients and agents to assess insurance applications and determine coverage provisions. We seek someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can compile accurate reports on risk levels, providing insightful recommendations to facilitate decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Review historical data to help forecast potential losses.
• Support the development of underwriting guidelines and standards.
• Analyze credit scoring and socio-economic factors influencing underwriting.
• Collaborate with actuaries to adjust models based on emerging trends.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Risk Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in the insurance industry with exposure to underwriting processes

• Statistical Analysis

Certifications

• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
