Job Description

As the Chief Executive Officer, you will spearhead our safety council initiatives, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while fostering a culture of safety awareness. You will lead a passionate team, dedicated to continuous improvement and the implementation of industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and oversee safety policies to align with compliance and best practices.
  • Conduct safety audits and report findings to management.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on safety training initiatives.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and recommend improvements.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of safety protocols.
  • Develop and track safety metrics to assess program effectiveness.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders to improve safety practices.
  • Drive a proactive approach to health and safety within the organization.
  • Mentor safety personnel to develop their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Science
  • Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous
Experience
  • At least 10 years in a safety management role with demonstrable leadership experience
