Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operation of chemical production machinery.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any production-related issues.
• Implement safety procedures and ensure awareness among team members.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain production schedules.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment and safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• National Diploma in Chemical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years' experience in a chemical processing role

Technical Skills

• SCADA Systems
• Process Control Software

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Hazardous Materials Handling Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Methodologies: Understanding of Lean principles to improve manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Additional Languages: Knowledge of Afrikaans and Xhosa will be advantageous.
