Mime Artist

Job Description

We are searching for a talented Mime Artist who can communicate emotions and stories purely through gestures and movements. If you're passionate about bringing performances to life through non-verbal expression, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mime performances tailored to specific themes or events.
• Work with creative teams to integrate mime with other performance art forms.
• Participate in workshops to improve skills and techniques in physical storytelling.
• Maintain a repertoire of mime techniques and styles to cater to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrate flexibility in adapting performances based on audience feedback.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Training in other performing arts (dance, theatre) is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in live performances or related fields

Technical Skills

• Storytelling through Mime
• Costume Design

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Dance: Fluency in movement and rhythm complements mime performances.
