Responsibilities

• Analyze and underwrite new and renewal applications effectively.
• Utilize statistical tools to evaluate risk and improve accuracy.
• Identify trends and patterns in claims and adjust underwriting guidelines.
• Work with actuaries to develop costing and pricing for new products.
• Train and mentor junior underwriting staff in best practices.
• Create guidelines to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Prepare detailed documentation supporting underwriting decisions.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss underwriting strategies.
• Provide outstanding service and support to clients and stakeholders.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance expertise.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar
• Relevant professional qualifications in underwriting are advantageous

Experience

• 5 years of relevant underwriting experience preferred
