Job Description

The Digital X-Ray Service Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that digital x-ray equipment is effectively installed and maintained across various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of digital x-ray equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in the development of service schedules for regular maintenance checks.
• Document all service activity and updates in the company database.
• Work closely with clients to understand their equipment needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in medical imaging technologies.
• Support the sales team with technical insights during presentations.
• Manage inventory of spare parts necessary for repairs and maintenance.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant field

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in servicing medical equipment, preferably digital radiography systems.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of PACS and DICOM systems

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Basic Life Support Certification

Languages

• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with medical imaging equipment beyond x-ray: Familiarity with MRI and CT scanning technologies.
• Experience working in hospital or clinical settings: Prior exposure to fast-paced medical environments is a plus.
