Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our vibrant finance team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Ideally, you have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and supervise junior staff.
• Assist in the preparation and review of budgets.
• Conduct variance analysis and report findings to management.
• Prepare audit schedules and report findings to senior management.
• Utilize accounting software for accurate and efficient ledger management.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting regulations.
• Participate in finance-related projects as required.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5 years of experience within a corporate finance environment.

Technical Skills

• Sage Accounting Software
• Financial Modelling

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• ACCAGlobal Qualification

Languages

• English: Fluent
