IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our Bloemfontein team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a passion for solving IT issues. You will be responsible for providing first-line support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining IT systems to ensure a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service while resolving technical issues.
• Assist with software installations and upgrades.
• Maintain and back up data securely and efficiently.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
• Work closely with the IT team to implement new technologies.
• Conduct basic training sessions for users on IT tools and software.
• Provide support during system rollouts and upgrades.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Information Technology or Computing
• Certifications in ITIL or similar preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT support

Technical Skills

• Windows OS
• Remote Support Tools

Soft Skills

• Customer Service
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• CompTIA Network+ Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of MacOS: Experience supporting MacOS devices in addition to Windows.
• Basic understanding of SQL: Familiarity with SQL will aid in managing databases and queries.
