Cloud Engineer

Job Description

We seek a proactive Cloud Engineer to drive our cloud initiatives in Cape Town. If you are adept in AWS and Azure, and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy and optimize cloud solutions, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage scalable cloud environments on AWS and Azure.
• Create and maintain cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Enhance system performance and monitor for potential disruptions.
• Conduct regular security audits of cloud resources and implement necessary improvements.
• Support disaster recovery efforts and ensure data integrity.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting for cloud infrastructure costs.
• Participate in training sessions to improve team's understanding of cloud services.
• Collaborate with external vendors to ensure best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud system errors effectively.
• Document system architecture and processes for regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and management

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
