Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Johannesburg. As a critical member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive care for a variety of animal patients. Your role will include diagnostic evaluations, surgical procedures, and patient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat routine and critical cases.
• Perform surgical operations and post-operative care.
• Educate pet owners on disease prevention and care.
• Administer vaccinations and medications.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of medical supplies.
• Advocate for animal welfare and ethical treatment.
• Engage in continuous education opportunities to expand skills.
• Communicate effectively with clients about their pets' conditions.
• Document and report on treatment protocols and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary practice regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science
• Postgraduate qualifications in Veterinary Surgery preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in veterinary practice
