We are on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our growing team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies. From protecting sensitive data to identifying vulnerabilities, this role is pivotal in safeguarding our organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and configuration of security software.
• Engage in threat-hunting activities.
• Create and maintain incident response plans.
• Advise on data protection strategies.
• Analyze security events to provide actionable insights.
• Work with management to improve organizational security posture.
• Assist in the development of business continuity plans.
• Liaise with law enforcement regarding security incidents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Assurance is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in a cybersecurity role with managerial responsibilities preferred
