As an Actuary at our Johannesburg office, you will analyse financial risks and uncertainties for various clients. This role requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. Candidates should be proficient in data analysis and statistical software. You will collaborate with other financial professionals to provide insights that shape business strategies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex data sets and present actionable insights to management.
• Formulate and implement risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with underwriters and risk managers to shape policy structures.
• Assess the impact of existing policies on financial performance.
• Develop pricing models based on actuarial principles and market data.
• Maintain accurate records of actuarial activities and reporting.
• Engage in continuous professional development and education to stay updated with industry standards.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and actuarial reports.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• Completed higher-level Actuarial Exams

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in actuarial science or a related field
