Food Scientist

Job Description

Looking for a Food Scientist with a strong background in food science and technology. You will work on exciting projects aimed at enhancing the nutritional quality and safety of food products, all while aligning with consumer preferences and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Research and apply new technologies in food science to enhance product quality.
• Evaluate and improve existing food products for nutritional value.
• Coordinate with marketing to understand target audience and consumer trends.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives related to food safety.
• Assist in the training of production staff on new procedures.
• Contribute to environmental sustainability efforts within production.
• Conduct training sessions on food science topics for staff.
• Document all project activities and prepare reports for management.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies for compliance.
• Initiate and oversee product recalls if necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field
• PhD in Food Science is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in food technology or related fields

Certifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
