Operations Engineer - Durban - Industrial Engineering

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing processes, designing efficient systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that enhance operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of engineering solutions in production.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with engineering processes.
• Collaborate with IT to enhance process automation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.
• Act as a mentor for less experienced engineers, providing guidance and support.
• Evaluate new technologies that can enhance operational performance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Professional Engineering (PrEng) registration is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing or engineering
