Job Description

We are seeking an IT Technician to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting end-users, and ensuring that our IT systems run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Resolve technical issues by diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software.
• Install and upgrade network components and software applications.
• Perform regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in the development of IT policies and procedures.
• Respond to user queries and provide support via email, chat or phone.
• Collaborate with vendors for equipment repairs and upgrades.
• Create and maintain documentation for technical processes.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Information Technology or related field
• Bachelor's degree is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in IT support
